Sir, Here below is a short Brief of what happened in the early hours of this morning, Friday 2nd January, 2026.

Your people of Yambatan Watenge are in mourning after losing to gun tooting Security Forces of the newly established Kumul 23.

These are the accounts of what happened early this morning.

Policemen/Soldiers identified as members of Kumul Force 23 drove into Tsak Valley with a target to kill certain men from the Watenge Clan of the Yambatan tribe.

They drove into Tsak Valley in 26 Troppers (motor Vehicles) at around 3.00am this morning, Friday 2nd December, 2026.

They troops after reaching Tsak Raiakam Ptimarry School Road junction, they split into two and about 13 Vehicles went towards Topak Valley Road and the other 13 went towards Yogos Road.

The ones went towards Topak Valley stopped at Tale Bridge and walked for about 500 Meters to Winis Kakis house along the Tale river bank (doelwnstream from the bridge) and fired gunshots from outside and instantly killed Winis Kaki's Wife, Margret in her sleep and shot Winis who rushed out (unarmed) to surrender. 

The both died instantly from multiple bullet wounds. (For ease of Ref. Ref Attached Photos).

The other team that went towards Yogos way stopped at the Tsak Phoenix School gate and went into Pastor Joshua Tati's house and killed Jarnol Sepik Taso (Male 30) and ordered Pastor Joshua Tati out of his house and physically assaulted him very badly with mental plate boots and kicked him and threw him into his own 10 Seater and another Security personnel drove the vehicle down.

Under PM James Marape: Many Engan Leaders Removed out of Jealousy

 

Under the leadership of Prime Minister James Marape, several top-performing Secretaries and Directors from Enga Province were forcefully removed from major government departments. Among Engans, we often say “Huli-Openi,” but these actions appear to be driven by jealousy rather than fairness.

 

During Peter O’Neill’s term as Prime Minister, more Enga leaders were appointed to key government departments. For this reason, many Engans regard Peter O’Neill as a true brother of the Enga people.

The recent removal of Health Secretary Ken Wai is yet another sign of this jealousy. Earlier, Prime Minister Marape also removed highly performing leaders such as NAC Director Rex Keponge and Chief of Staff Isaac Lupari and Finance secretary Dr. Ken Ngangan

 

Enga people must now seriously reflect on this situation. Sadly, it feels as though we are being looked down upon by our own brother.

POLICE COMMISSIONER CONDEMNS SORCERY-RELATED VIOLENCE AND KILLINGS IN ENGA

Police Commissioner David Manning has condemned the recent sorcery-related violence and killings in Enga province in relation to the death of Enga businessman Jacob Luke of Mapai Transport.

He said nine women were rounded up and tortured over the death of the Engan businessman.

In a statement today, Mr. Manning said Enga police intervened when news of the torture reached Wabag town, however, were only able to rescue five badly injured women who were tortured.

Four died and were buried before police arrived.

Mr. Manning said “This barbaric, senseless and evil act is an insult to the memory of a great man from Enga. Jacob Luke was kind, honest, and a hard-working man who was against such evil acts."

“I have been assured by the Enga Provincial Commander that all who participated in the torture and murder will be arrested and charged."

Mr. Manning said this evil act cannot continue and the police will take the strongest stand.

He said police will not rest until every one involved in this evil act are arrested, charged and prosecuted.

Enga Governor Grand Chief Sir Peter Ipatas has been officially reaffirmed as the Alternate Prime Minister nominee

In a dramatic turn of events shaking Papua New Guinea’s political landscape, Enga Governor Grand Chief Sir Peter Ipatas has been officially reaffirmed as the Alternate Prime Minister nominee.

The announcement was made moments ago at a press conference held at the Crown Hotel, where Sir Ipatas addressed the media flanked by key opposition figures. His nomination comes amid reports that four fellow Engan Members of Parliament — Sir John Pundari, Don Polye, Mikki Kaeyok, and Amos Akem — have declared their continued support for the current government, adding further complexity to the unfolding political drama.

Governor Ipatas was quick to clarify the nature of his nomination, stating, “I was not nominated by an individual party or the Engan Members.” He emphasized that his candidacy is a product of a collective decision by several opposition-aligned parties, united in their pursuit of a government change.

Demanding the Enga Governor, Grand Chief Sir Peter Ipatas to leave Government immediately

On behalf of the silent and voiceless majority of Enga Province raised concern towards the eve of VONC by demanding the Enga Governor, Grand Chief Sir Peter Ipatas to leave Government immediately and join the Opposition to form New Government.

Sitting Protest will be hosted at Wabag Town on the date mentioned above. It will be started as early as 6am until 2pm. Take note in advance to avoid inconvenience:

1. Greeen house closed

2. Business houses closed

3. No transportation 

4. All government agents closed 

5. All access roads shut down.

Awareness for sitting protest will be conducted tomorrow. Six (6) Land cruisers will be disbursed to each district, making sure Entire people must participate.

It is come to a light that, in political history of Enga Provincial, our good action governor PI, has been becoming a barrier for our Engan potienal servantful leaders who would have become Prime Minister as listed below;

However, now as 99% of people of Enga Province are at back of APMRP and demanding the change of Government, why not you put your political differences and jealous at Irelya and Join Team opposition for the change.
